Oatmeal Travel Packs

After heading out on our little getaway up north, I wanted to share some of my travel hacks to keep me + the fam on track with eating healthy while traveling.These easy oatmeal packs are one of my fav's and are an easy to pack breakfast option!

AND they are a great option for the kids to bring to school to. We deserve to fuel our bodies with the best becuase that's what we need to thrive! As far as protein I like to use plant based that avoid the common allergens and are:

Adequate protein intake is vital for a healthy and strong immune system and can increase everyday energy and that's why including protein in these oatmeal packs are perfect for everyday energy!
I choose plant-based protein to help the overall health of my cardiovascular system and support a healthy heart. It can also benefit youthful skin by delivering essential amino acids, that can help
rejuvenate and maintain healthy skin.

My two favorite TRUSTED clean and sustainable plant based protein sources are below. Check out the links to see which one works best for you! I alternate between the two Truvani because it is so smooth and delicious and doesn't have that gritty texture you get from other plant-based protein powders. If you like the idea of consuming less meat, Truvani plant-based protein blend is a satisfying alternative to heavy animal proteins and will give you the same energy – without weighing you down. It helps control cravings and provides gut healing properties but without the chalky feel in your mouth.

Unlike other plant-based sources of protein, pea protein is highly bio available and generally easy to digest. Because of the pea protein in both proteins powders, they are both great for those with digestive troubles.

I suggest using small mason jars but I even love to use multipurpose jars like the ones above. These ones were previously olive and artichoke jars. Reusable kitchen items is the best!

Oatmeal Packs [for on-the-go]

  • 1/2 cup organic quick oats
  • 1/2 scoop plant based chocolate protein (BEST* Truvani or doTERRA Vegan Protein 
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit or nuts of choice**

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a small mason jar with a lid and shake until combined.

  2. When ready to eat, pour 1 cup of hot water into the jar and let sit for atleast 5 minutes. Stir and enjoy!

**you can add 1/4 cup fresh organic fruit of choice after step 2. To prep just store fruit in separate jar and add in when you eat after step 2.
